Found a Collosium at an estate sale

I should start an Estate Sale place just for music related gear...

Call it "Dead Musician Stuff"
 
Real Musicians Dream Sale situation there. I imagine there'll be some real Texans ready to give you a Shiner to get to that one.

Also statistically more likely to be a regular medium head MKIII than a coliseum.

Adjusted for inflation it was a ~$1000 upgrade to an amp that was already expensive at the time.

They only released coliseum models within a certain time period. I don’t think it was an optional upgrade as much as a different serial number batch all together.

Not always, the majority of mark iii coliseum I have owned and seen weren’t K serial. Mike B seemed to think there were probably 500 of them out there

Look at old price lists and you'll see them on there. Upgrade vs entirely different amp is tangential to the point Im making which is the amps were much more expensive than regular MKIIIs and they are much rarer as a result.
 
Of course--I wouldn't snipe it. I also wouldn't post a find on here until I had it in hand haha
