This proves my point though - it was a different serial number model with its own options and cheaper than a fully loaded mark III. Just nowhere as common.

They only released coliseum models within a certain time period. I don’t think it was an optional upgrade as much as a different serial number batch all together.

They offered the Coliseum option throughout the Mark III production. But they ditched the K serial numbers sometime during the purple stripe, so most are within the normal serial number range.

This makes perfect sense - there are a few that were built as mark III options near the end of the mark III era without K serial numbers.

Conversion option for what?

Not a different serial on my blue coli
Not cheaper either
Fully loaded coli was $1425
Fully loaded Mark III was $1300

See above post for clarity. The combo was $1400 so on par with the fully loaded coliseum.

Actually the other way around. Most Mark III Colis are without the K prefix.

They offered a coli combo IIB, IIC+ and III earlier in the production with a EVM15L or 12L.

Bet that was fun to drag around.

My old 2B-2C+ Coli conversion is a combo. Came with a nice road case also. The 15' speaker is the great sounding EV.
And yes, it was HEAVY. Both the tone and weight.
