Men crying and fighting over a toy. :D Just use a POD, you're audience won't know the difference, neither will your basement walls. :D

Ok....my take.....there seem to be a few different types of pissed off people here-

You sold your Ultra or Standard in anticipation of the Axe II, and are a gigging musician without a rig-

I have no sympathy for you; that was a piss poor choice. I can't imagine there are many that fit this category, but I've read it somewhere.

You sold your Ultra or Standard and it was your favorite piece of gear; you're now pissed because of a 30 day delay-

I have no sympathy for you, either. Why sell something you love without even TRYING the new model, or at LEAST waiting for more reviews.

You sold your Ultra or Standard to avoid taking a few hundred dollar hit when the new models hit-

If your motivation was avoiding depreciation and you're pissed at the wait, I'm confused. You sold at high dollar, you'll have a new one when they're available, and some other guy takes the hit. You win. If you're still pissed, then you probably fall in to one of the other two categories.....no sympathy.

You sold your Ultra or Standard in pursuit of the latest and greatest for internet bragging rights-

Sadly, I believe this is the largest, most vocal group. It's almost like having the right pair of jeans or tennis shoes in Junior High School. If you don't fit in, you can't possibly be cool. Unfortunately, there is really very little help for those that fall in to this category.

Unlike the other categories, these people DO have my sympathy.

Some of you guys are just brutal i am sorry but there is so
Much harmony central childish crap i'n these fractal threads
Enough is enough
The guy cant win he comes out with an apology saying he
Flew of the handle and he is sorry about the delays
And you guys say wow someone hacked his account
You basically also say too bad about your ulcer but you deserve physical
Pain due to all the grief you have caused us due to your miscalculations
The best part is that it is not even the end of June 3 weeks
Since product was announced
Try waiting 8 months for an egnater m4 when they had trouble
The man is dealing with supplier delays, bug fixs i'n software
Dealers . He made a mistake, don't you ever?
Sorry man, but PUH-LEEEEEEEEEEEZ!!!!

Look, here's a snapshot of what's happened and happening...

1. A massive countdown shrouded in secrecy and elusiveness, fueled by speculation and conjecture and projection on behalf of all the FAS forumites. Not once was any information given as to the product launch.
This is what happens when the promises are made, the anticipation is of massive proportions, and your product is the only one in the world - yes, the world - that does what it does. If someone wants to use the "but we're just a small company, we're only 4 people, please, allow us some time" retort, than maybe they shouldn't have come off as some massive corporate bigwig with mondo ka-ching in their collective products with a launch and countdown of EPIC proportions.
This has just gone from bad to worse, IMHO.

V.
Colossians 3:12-13
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Luke 6:37
Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

this has become biblical

ventura just boycott the product if you are so up in arms-actions speak louder than words-

from my perspective your ranting is now entering conspiracy theory realms not to mention slander. you were just recently cranking up your over the top best ever nothing can top it pro-axe ultra propaganda here when you got slapped down by the launch of the II and now it seems attacking fractal is your way to save face and it's not working.
i know i can't tell you what to do, but go jam or spend time with your wife instead of building hate and stirring frustration-

unless you are vying for the digijam tiarra award. :D

get well Cliff-there are things about my ultra i miss every time i play live and look forward to hearing the axe II
and regardless of the mayhem i know you meant to put out the best possible device and i appreciate it and encourage you

I had the fortunate advantage that I actually got to try the AxeII before ordering. In my opinion it is a significant improvement over the Ultra. You may call that BS, but that is my opinion just like your opinion is that it is not that much of an improvement. People will be on both sides of the fence, personal opinions only and not necessarily BS on either side of the fence.

I will keep my Ultra because it will make a very reliable upgrade to the G Major II that I currently have in my OD100's rack. I have had bad luck with that unit and other TC units in the past. I must report that TC has graciously answered my email this morning and will have another crack at repairing my G MajorII.

Mark
I have a Gmajor II and have yet to really tinker with it whats goin on with yers??

Locking crashing audio stops passing, rebooting. It's been in once for 7wks to TC. It came back the same way. I emailed and got a very speedy response saying they will be glad to look at it again and sent a prepaid shipping label as well, so that is cool :)

This was the thing you had deleted? Glad you reposted it, nicely done sir.

History repeats itself. Or to put it another way: "Oops, I did it again"! FAS - once again - created maximum exposure with minimal effort by doing exactly what they did. Good job. All of the whiners will have no choice but to finally buy an Axe-Fx II or live with buyer's remorse should they buy anything else. That's some excellent applied psychology here, folks.

Yeah, I messed up. It wasn't what I intended. There's nothing I can do about it now. Everyone is pissed at me and hates me. All I can do is say I'm sorry that my remarks were misinterpreted. Sorry.

ok, had to register to reply to this....(although I am at the fractal boards)

Respect to Cliff for that post!!!..... it took balls to say that!

Personally I NEVER hated Cliff, but I was offended by some of the remarks, that in fairness were not meant to be personal at me as I never dissed him or anyone ...but it felt like they were aimed at ALL the customers.

I wish him a speedy recovery and all the best, as I say it took balls to post that apology and that restores a lot of faith.

Thanks Cliff

Then why didn't he post that over on his forum for the people who most deserve to hear it?

Cheers...I ended up over here after reading about this forum on the Fractal forum. I have had my Ultra for a couple of years and my MFC for maybe 9 months. I love the Fractal products and intend to purchase the Axe II. Obviously things have not worked out as smoothly as we all would have liked. The MFC rollout/waiting list was disappointing as well. I was perplexed as to why the waiting list was handled the way it was for the MFC and am now a little perplexed by the waiting list for the Axe II, however, life goes on and I'll wait until I can get one. I endorse a number of product manufacturers and have had similar delays and such with many of them...even as an endorsing artist...so delays and miscalculations do occur pretty much industry wide. I can understand people being unhappy with the way things are going presently, but some of the mean-spirited vitriol I've read here and elsewhere is very disappointing. In these type of situations I have often found that the people complaining the loudest and with the most venom are usually the ones with less than 150 shows a year who never leave their home state.

A couple of years ago, I was partying with rein hold at the la amp show. It was epic, we were trashed and it was like 3 am and reinhold was just getting started. I said why don't u post on rig talk once in a while. Ur this cult mythical figure and it would be great business for bogner.

The last thing I remember him saying before I passed out and threw up. Or maybe I threw up then passed out was something to the effect, Those Internet guys are crazy. All they will do is tell me how to design my amps, how I should run my company, etc. I didnt understand or agree with what he was saying then. I do now.
Have a few more Rob

My .02 cents for all of this.

Like Mark Day I too have played for 33 years and have waited for many new products and purchased them to use live.

Like many of you I have owned more than I care to own up to and most of it super high end.

Like many of you I have practised hard and gigged out many many times over the years.

I've held a snr managerial role for a large firm for approx 26 yrs having direct contact with hundreds of people each week.

I have no beef with the product and the way Cliff does his business is not how I would do mine today or tomorrow.

With all of that out of the way I want to move onto the real issue - Cliff's forum is a total and utter disgrace. His moderators and their lack of tact, respect and allowance of people's views that are delivered very well by the many is shameful.

What site deletes as many posts that have no malice or expletives and sells itself as a public forum.

If Cliff wants the face of his company to change and display some goodwill in the quickest way possible (overnight) shut his forum down OR fire all his moderators immediately and make it known to the masses.

It's his forum and his moderators (that also make appearances or are moderators on other forums) that creates most of the Fractal shit storm. A clear point of this is Scott Peterson over at TGP spamming all day long about Fractal. Albiet he tries to downplay it but it's as obvious as the nose on your face. I don't see a single soul over on TGP spamming product like he does almost every day and I'm sure if they did it would be stopped very quickly. Almost every post about an AXE FX has SP involved. How can you be a beta tester, Fractal moderator and remain objective with no bias and have no conflict of interest hanging over you whilst moderating another very well known site. It's a joke and a poor one.

Another glaring example of the hypocrisy, audacity and disrespect of its moderators - Scott Peterson comes onto this forum in this post to mention another forum (clearly Fractal's forum) and sounds off at this forum's members yet on TGP where he is a moderator this type of post isn't allowed. I haven't checked Fractal's site but I wouldn't be surprised if it's allowed there either.

The other character on there "Jay" is a piece of work and I'm being polite.

I have to ask does Cliff's product really need the forum? I say no as the product should speak for itself as it does.

You get the picture and for those who don't get on over to the Fractal site and ask some straight honest questions with your take on it and experience what many others are talking about. (they can't all be wrong)

As I started out saying I have no beef with the product but the forum's behaviour puts me (& many others) well and truly off Cliff/Fractal for condoning it.

Yes, this is my take on it using my words based on my experience.

Not sure if Jay is a moderator over there any more (as of a couple of days ago).

Peterson actually HAS been helpful he has posted some clips early of the Axe 2 and a great vid.
I dont really pay attention to much at the gear page ..so you may be right on other points..

Jay mitchell .is rude belittling and I pretty much have no use for him .Luckily I can just ignore him .
I just find it funny on how much people think they know .

But ya making the biggest most opinionated A** on your board a moderator ..Hmmm
