Ok. I've done a 180. The more I read about this damn thing the more I want one. Surprised there aren't more clips - has anyone seen a good video of this thing?

I've never had a user base and an owner ruin a company for me more than the SnaxFX users and their captain Cliff. This thing would probably be right up my alley but I cannot stomach giving that company money.

Care to explain your frustration........ FYI I'm not an AXE Fx user.

Fractal Audio is a great company! Nothing but good experience with them!! I'm In line for the FX8 can't wait!!

I, too, am interested. I know about the Nazi camp that is the Fractal forum, but nothing else.

+1
Back when the first snax came out I was seriously intent on getting one. While doing my research of the product I came across the Fractal forum. I was disgusted how representatives of the company, forum admins, and the user base treated anyone who asked a question about the product, or its capabilities. Since that time, the owner of the company has not been shy to disparage and publicly air perceived shortcomings of competitor products on other forums. Obviously no company is perfect, but I personally will not reward this kind of blatantly poor behavior with my hard earned dollars.

And it is unfortunate, because they are excellent products.

Hmm...I've been a Fractal user for years and on the forum pretty regularly and haven't seen the stuff you guys are talking about. I see more hate on TGP and here quite frankly.

See 74JMP's response.... it sums it up for me as well.

When the Kemper first came out and started getting rave reviews, Cliff would purposely go out of his way to make some disparaging remark about how much the Kemper sucks. It was the first time that Fractal had any real type of competition in the digital modeling world and the boss handled it poorly. He has since backed off a little but I think his actions left a pretty sour taste in the mouths of many.

The funny thing is, Fractal users should be applauding the Kemper. Without it there would be no Tone Matching and various other tweaks over the 16+ firmware revisions in the Axe Fx II.

The company I work for is in an extremely competitive space with 3 major competitors who are slightly larger than us and some smaller up and coming companies that are working hard for market share.

No where in our ads or corporate communications do we ever disparage the competitor or point out faults, either directly or indirectly. Sure we want to win and gain market share, but asses would be bouncing off the concrete if anyone publicly made a comment about our competitor product or service. Instead we talk about the products and services we offer, our qualities, focus on customer service etc. It is a much better way to do business.

I'll get off my high horse now.
