I actually thought, and still think, that the vaccine greatly improved my odds of surviving covid and also greatly improved my odds of not having a severe and life altering case of the disease. I ended up getting it 3 times, all mild cases. Only once was I laid up in bed. And it was only for a day or two during the initial wave when it was at its strongest.

I never lost my sense of smell or lung capacity. Nor have I had long term exhaustion aka long covid.
