Got some work in today, although I couldn't finish the amp because I had a bunch of other things to do today... Anyway, today I finished wiring up the preamp tubes. The resistors I was waiting for showed up. You can see two 100Ks on V2 and V3. These are Amtrans AMRG 3/4W resistors - supposed to be very similar (maybe a bit better than) the Rikens. I grabbed a few to finish up the amp. I also did most of the wiring for the effects loop (above the preamp tubes in the pictures) except for the shielded wires because I didn't have time. Also finished the ground wiring on the front panel and soldered all ground wires up to the pot ground wire. For sure the next session will now finish the amp. Here are a couple pics of the finished heater wiring and (almost) finished loop:
