Fryette 2/50/2 power amp stereo vs mono operation

I had a question concerning the safety of running the Fryette 2/50/2 power amp in mono operation. Even though both the Fryette and my preamp are capable of running in stereo, for certain reasons I need to run it in mono. My preamp manufactuer was concerned that it could hurt the power amp if it doesn't have a load on the 2nd input. Is it okay to run this thing in mono or does it have to be run in stereo? I've tried reaching out to Fryette but haven't heard back. I figure maybe someone here could shed some light on this. Any help is much appreciated.

It can be run in mono. Just leave the second channel in standby. Doesn't need a load if it is in standby. just don't forget and take it off standby without a load, that could cause problems.

I always ran my power amps mono and would pull the power tubes from one side.
