Is there any power amp better than a Fryette PS-2/PS100 for a modeller?

I’ve tried a bunch of power amps with my axefx. The Fryette stuff is all great. Didn’t love the 2/90/2 though just because the mids are a bit scooped, the 2/50/2 has the sweet midrange. LXII is great also. I have a KSR PA50 which is the amp to get if you want lightweight and small, it also sounds great. I use the KSR the most because it’s easy to grab and go to a gig.

I have some of the same power amps as you guys, and they all sound great in their own way. The 2902 is stiff and forward sounding, the Engl E840 adds compression and saturation, the Mesa Boogie 2:100 brings huge bottom end and a looseness that benefits some amps like my Rectifier Recording.

For transparent tube power amplification, I don't think the PS-2 can be beat, at least in its price bracket. Consequently, I won't be letting go of mine for now. I mainly use it with my iPad rig, or the Axe FX.
