I was really looking forward to the Ultra lead head being rereleased for ages it seems and now with this new offering which I myself have no interest in I will just snag another Wizard MC II as it seems like a better option for my needs as I'm not interested in a digital analog hybrid box and at 4 grand there are much better choices as well, so thanks Fryette for that. Same. I ended up getting a Diezel VH4 recently instead.

Yeah… like ALL he had to do was simply name it something else and make the use case clear and say that the Ultra Lead Pittbull will be handled in its own accord. Then remind people it has nothing to do with a Honda Accord…

You’d still have a lot of life-long fans upset that the didn’t get what they wanted, but at least it wouldn’t have been indicative of steamrolling a legacy into a hybrid amp. Diezel VHX didn’t get that much flack because they still offered the traditional amps they built their existence on.

OR… maybe a Ultra Lead mk VII will come out with nano-technology followed by an OG ultra lead pitbull Re-issue *cough* Mesa

I'm more optimistic about it than a lot of folks (clearly 😂), but it does seem a little like Steve's dialogue went something like "the kid's like screens, we gotta get a screen on this thing...."
My favorite thing is imagining board rooms full of boomers discussing what the new generation would be interested in. I imagine it always ends up like this. Misses the mark with the new targeted audience and misses the fuck out of the mark with and isolates the established one

These features were probably up-to-date when the first envisioned the project, but this thing has been a looooong time coming.

WINNER!

I played @OldGtrGuy 's Pittbull (non GEQ?) and I can see why people are so up in arms about this :dunno: For Fryette to think this is what everyone wants is crazy - especially your typical Fryette fan.

So my contribution will be Pityfull Ultragreed
Definitely one amp I wish I kept.

in hindsight, it was probably not the wisest idea to announce this radically digitally modified amp without having some really compelling demos in the can prior to the NAMM launch. bringing a non working version to the show doesn’t bode well to dispel doubts either.

Steve’s a smart guy and a major staple in the boutique industry so i’m sure the amp sounds great. i’d bring Rappoport to the showroom and have him demo as Steve talks through the features or better yet, just highlight the features with graphics as Steve can get overtly wordy.

Yeah, I guess it's up for opinion.

I think it was a horrible idea to spend 10k for NAMM to announce a unit that doesnt even work. I could see a lot of people saying yeah right, what a joke. That thing is plagued.

But I also think most guitarists that would actually buy it know its probably going to sound great.

I cant afford it either way but would never buy it until we hear some demos....which still aren't available?🤣

But im quite sure a lot of people already pre ordered it.
