So I've been playing around with my HX Stomp this week end and I'm really enjoying so far. I finally got my PS-2 connected to my KSR Orthos and I didnt have any gain and my effects loop didnt seem to work. I tried connecting my board to the loop on the PS-2 and I was getting a loud squeel. So I couldnt figure it out. When I connected my pedalboard I didnt have any gain. So I checked all the connections turned the pedals on and off. After a few minutes later I noticed the balance on my Maxon OD808 was almost off. D'OH!!! as soon as I turned it back up everything was right in the world.

Its amazing one little knob can cause so much trouble.

The funny thing is that we all do it. And say we won't forget it next time. Then we do it again the next week all over again. Haha

And the older we get the more stuff seems to happen. Hmmmmm. LOL

A few weeks ago I was troubleshooting a rig. I was going through EVERYTHING on the pedal board. Then I realized that I didn't plug the damn cable into the guitar.

What I think happened and I went to fix it and left the room, fixed it. But did not plug my guitar back in.

I keep building my rig to be more complicated than it should be then I screw up the easiest stuff and panic. Now I'm trying to figure out how to use the HX Stomp with my other pedals and amp. What I would like to do ideally is have my normal boosts in front of the amp then use my Zuul, Dispatch Master Reverb/Delay, and the HX Stomp in the loop. I am certain that I am going to screw up a lot of easy steps

And the worst is right before showtime! Holy stress hell.

Shit I know!

I haven't gigged for a little while, but towards the end of the last band, I simplified a lot. It was worth it. Less headaches. Single amp four pedals and that's it. Bare minimum. Mesa Tremoverb and 4x12, footswitch, delay, chorus, an two OD's. Two guitars, one trem one hardtail. Then just the hail mary essentials. Never had a problem. It also helped that we just played in C# std.

Since then on a occasional blues jam, which was a tele or Lester and a Mesa subway blues with an OD. got the job done and sounded great.

A few months ago I took the side chain output from my Empress compressor instead of the regular output. took me a bit to figure out why I was getting no sound.

I see amps come in all the time where they work fine. I then assume the problem was intermittent (hard to find) or they had something else going on.

Half the problem of something intermittent is getting the damn thing to act up. Pain in the ass.

Once was in the studio reamping, and was getting a super weak signal. Tried all sorts of solutions, triple-checked all the connections, then gave up and found some alternative solution. Later on I realized it was because the battery in my OD was just about dead.

Worst ever. It took me over 5 minutes once to realize a pedal volume was off

Let us know how that works out for you. I've been thinking about the HX Stomp and using it in the same way for last few weeks now. I'm thinking the same thing, in the loop with normal boost in front. Pretty sure I don't need one but think it would be cool to mess with.

I'm slowly becoming more comfortable with it. Right now I have it setup to use my KSR Ceres -> HX Stomp -> DAW and it is working pretty well. I'm hoping to get motivated and try it will my pedal board this weekend. I'm basically hoping to use the reverb, delays, chorus, and wah from the stomp then my boosts. I found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHGZYLPm6is which pretty well spells out how I need to set it up.

Preach lol, I’ve thought I blew amps only to find the input jack of a guitar was a bit corroded.
