I have the PS100. I have 2 questions:

1 - Silent mode, power off, I understand how it works but can I also have a cab hooked up and pass signal?

1b - If I do the above and it works, does the impedance selector work for each or does that need power?

2 - Is it fully safe to mismatch cab and head impedances? If I have a head that can do 4-8-16 ohms but I choose 4 ohms because I like how the NFB works on 4ohm but my cab is 16 ohm. Does this work like I am wondering? Will the amp have a true 4 ohm load while passing signal to a 16 ohm cab?

1. Yes.

1b. I don't know, someone else will have to answer that.

2. Yes, as far as i know.

Check the manual again. If I remember right they have a picture showing which connectors/switches/etc.
are active in that mode and which aren't. Pretty sure most stuff is bypassed.
