Fryette Support?

I have already committed on the GPDI issue in this thread. I am referring to people that state things as facts and do not mention they are guessing in what you quoted milkchickenbomb. It has caused many problems. Many of them can be found in the TGP thread that is linked in this thread. All of the new products that have been introduced by Fryette since the GPDI was made pubic were made public a year or more before the GPDI. How do you know they are not doing what you suggested above ?

So you're saying Powerstation 2 (announced last week) was a year in development before the GP/DI while the original Powerstation 1 was in development? Seems kind of odd that you've mentioned several times how long the Fryette R&D process takes yet they've had enough time and funding to put out a Powerstation 2...even if it is just several technical updates/improvements.

No. The Power Station idea was made public on the forums about a year before the GPDI. The Power Station idea was first mentioned on GAB by one of the people that work at Fryette. It had no name then. How long they were working on the idea before that I do not know.

No problem. I'm very familiar with the Fryette product release dates or what R&D takes in addition understanding all the information you're providing is second hand as a fan. But I also think you might be confusing what I'm referring to ala the Power Station 2. It's a new product just announced on Facebook late last week by Fryette.

As you said earlier, all these products were planned out long in advance not to mention the R&D required. Isn't it just a bit lame with all supposed R&D time it takes to develop a new product, namely the Powerstation 2, that the most communication on GP/DI progress we get (if any as well as has been ongoing for over 2 years) is a haphazardly vague with a release date that more dependably keeps being pushed into the future? Its just a bit of a smear to the face, as a backer, that Fryette can openly announce via social media feature specs of the Power Station 2 in addition to an actual release date (slated for May) but can't really give any insight to what stage of the GP/DI project we're actually at right now.

They never said they were not going to be working on releasing other gear. I don't consider a updated version of gear released part of this. They and most of the small amp companies do updated verisions gear often. That is likely to happen as they get feedback from people that use the product. This is just one of many project they are working on. My expectations might be very different than yours. I don't consider anything else they do being related to the GPDI project. I'm not surprised things take longer than estimated. Or that they are getting other things done during the same period. I worked as a carpenter for many years and dealt with the same type issues daily.

Apparently, you didn't see the old thread that was deleted. I posted a link to Fryette's exchange with Cameron, which is on the Fryette User's forum. Mr. Paulyc was in no way civil in the other thread, but you can't see that now. Anyhoo, here's the latest update on the GP/DI. When it ships some of the trolls like paulyc are gonna have to eat some crow...

They are continuously developing and releasing new products. It has been that way since the company started.

When are they going to quit with these little gadgets and put out a new head? The Pittbull series has remained the same for what now? A decade? I'd like to see a new flag ship head.

lololololol Tell that to Soldano. They haven't put out a new circuit in 30 years. And no, a 25-watt version of this or that amp isn't "new" to me. Most amp companies don't release "new" models that often. Mostly, all their amps are simply variations on the same core design. What do you want Fryette to do? Put out a "new" Ultralead with a small tweak here or there? Replace an 820R resistor with a 47K and call it "new"? To me, that's kinda lame. Unless it's actually a totally new design, I figure why bother... unless all you wanna do is market it as new and get some new sales—which is a smart business tactic. But as a consumer, I don't like it.

But what is going on as far as people out thousands of dollars is not in the same league to me. This kind of behavior pisses me off. If this was all long ago, I'd be more inclined to not say anything. I've posted enough in the past. But he's still ranting and raving, very recently on FB. He's copied Fortin's circuit, and is selling his version of it. Its not just Cameron anymore. Mikes a class act and so is Friedman, I just don't get his beef with any of them. I'd like someone to clone HIS firebolt and then start selling those....a bunch would line up I'd bet. And BB would be out there spitting tacks....

I made the offer. I'll stand by it. Someone put a Blades amp in my hands and I will map the circuit and post the layout for everyone to see. Then you can just buy some parts from wherever—Granger, Ceriatone, Hoffman, etc.—and build your own. Billy Blades is totally ok with that sort of thing so nobody should have any objections.

Not sure why we're still talking about this... Here it is. Someone else already mapped it (not me, but I easily could have guessed what it was...) and made a layout and it has already been posted all over the Internet. I posted this a week ago in the other Blades thread, along with a link to the circuit/layout of my Henning PlexRod that I gave away the design to, which is a similar Jose based circuit and everyone ignored it. In my experience, this should sound just like what the Blades clips sound like. If anyone wants to build this or my PlexRod, knock yourself out:
