Full performance of Rush's Permanent Waves album!!!

This dude is amazing. Plays all instruments plus vocals & nails every part! Plays guitar & bass as a lefty & drums right handed. Production is great as well.....sounds like the album!

My lord. He plays the vibes and analog synth/tympani parts too on Jacobs ladder. Dude has full resources to all that stuff. Super impressive.

That's very impressive, but I just need to ask Why?. I understand learning the parts as an educational aspect, but to go that far and literally rerecord the album. I love Rush though.

For all that effort he could have worked to produce something unique. I hope this is a one time excursion and he learns to use his powers for good?

He's a professional touring drummer with the Queen Extravaganza band & has a few CDs out. He also does a drum battle every night with Roger Taylor on the Queen+Adam Lambert tour.

He simply just loves Rush & says they inspired him years ago to really push himself to become a better musician......plus Permanent Waves is one of his favorite albums.

Bottom line is he's a badass & can do whatever he wants

Always loved this album from top to bottom. He killed it!! Natural Science, Jacob's Ladder and Entre Nous were always the sleeper hits for me. Permanent Waves through Signals (to me) was Rush at their very best. Geddy's voice was the right balance of the early albums intensity with restraint. Perfection!

Wasn't aware I had the ability to prevent others from doing whatever they wished. Guess I'll need to look into it since lots of people do stupid ass things.

Not that this is one of them. I just questioned the level of rerecording all the parts for presentation.

I hear you man, nothing wrong with asking the question "Why?"

To me, there are some bands/albums that justify this kind of time and effort, and Permanent Waves is one of them. Another example that comes to mind is Dream Theater covering Master of Puppets. Not an apples to apples comparison, but if material is inspiring enough then why not? I'd bet he has grown as a musician from this experience.
