g major time delay to change presets

I am using a g major (version 1.27) and I am having an issue where it takes time before a preset kicks in. For example, if I change from chorus to tremolo then the tremolo effect doesn't begin until about a second later. The name of the preset pops up on the screen immediately but the actual effect doesn't begin right away. It seems I have the most problems with the trem and phaser. Is this normal or is there a way to fix this? I keep the routing on semiparallel to try to decrease load times and I use a ground control pro for the switching. Does the Gmajor 2 have this issues as well? I've been thinking of upgrading to Gmaj2 anyways since it has the intelligent pitch shifting.

I've had mine for about 4 years now, and I've never experience any sort of delay when switching patches.

i had a g-major for almost 3 years and had delays switching patches that were almost 1 second long.

if you configure the g-major to call/recall off and on functions independently, and not entire patches, then its not so bad. but if you are recalling entire patch changes then yes - i ended up selling my g-major, and i plan to get a g-major II in the future.

i couldnt take it anymore, it was annoying as fuck

This is really weird. I'll make a video tomorrow if I can, there is absolutely no delay when going from patch to patch with my G Major...

The delay is because the phaser doesn't like the semi parallel routing. Go into your phaser preset and change the routing to serial and I bet you you have no lag time. Then go into the preset and reset the phaser and overall fx level to adjust for the different routing. Problem solved. \:D/

I had the same problem and this fixed it immediately. I was able to still get a cool phaser sound just by resetting my fx levels in that preset.

I have zero latency when switching my GM2.

So is this not an issue with the G-Major 2?

   THIS ^^^^ , is the correct answer

I've had two g majors (both were made within the first few months they were available - both came before eq was available on them) and I've never had any latency issues.

i never used phaser, just reverb or slight delays in serial. the latency was unbearable in a band situtation.

and there havent been any latency calls on the newer model at all.
