They are a great speaker, but they can kind of fatigue the ear with how heavy they are in presence. I like then better than V30 and feel like they are kind of a strange mix of v30 and greenback. But at the end of the day, it was just a little harsh.

I think the perfect compromise was moving to red backs. They are just such a balanced speaker and reallzy accentuate accurately what you put in with the eq

Love em. They are great in the EVH 2x12 cabs and fantastic on top of a 4x12 with 2 V30s on bottom. 4 of em bite like a mutha tho—gotta turn up

I had a pair in my EVH 212 combo. Took them out after I bought a pair of greenbacks from Avatar Speakers. My first Gen Combo had greenbacks. New EVH combos have the Anniversaries. They were okay. More bass and sizzle. But not Eddie tones.
Interesting thing was my first gen combo had Chinese greenbacks. Loved em. When I first got the set of greenbacks from Avatar, they hey were UK Greenbacks. I’ve been breaking them in cuz I don’t play at high volumes. But after 2 years they are sounding good now.

Wasn't it voiced after the speaker Hendrix and Page used.

I'm having kinda a hard time with them. Not clear enough in sound - i have blended them with V30, still not there.

My problem is they sound great when redplated use them and psychodave as well

My go to these days a vented 75's

They mix great with V30s in a 412. Real full spectrum sound when combined. Big lows, big mids and big highs.
Not the best in a 2x12, spikey, congested and too low of power handling.
