To my ears, Gary had the best vibrato I've ever heard. Fantastic player.

Huge GM fan - didn't get into him until I read an interview with the then up-and-coming hot gun named Vivian Campbell who cited him as an influence.
Once I picked up the 1st GM CD... I laughed at how Viv ripped him off. Still loved Viv's playing back in the day.. but why not go back and learn from the source?
Great vibrato and power in his playing, especially when he played slow and soulful and then built it .............. RIP Gary!
PS: Victims of the Future disc is in my truck as we speak - I'll pop it in on the way home. Cheers

Was just diggin GM over the weekend. They have a Phil Lynot dedication concert on Netflix. Gm was a talented dude.

Probably the reason I play. No one plays like he did. A tragic loss.....his playing leaves goosebumps. A moody sod, but we're all like that over here....
