My '59 Les Paul and Dumble that I sold to buy a first run CCV

You're joking, but I'm not.

I basically sold this when I signed up for a first run CCV. Granted, the whole rack thing had pretty much run its course for me at that point as well, and I was ready to let it go. Regardless, what a fucking mistake that turned out to be.....

.....other than my tremoverb, don't really miss any amps.

I pretty much feel the same way. I miss my Tremoverb. It was one of the first off the line too.

I feel the same, I had a trem o verb combo that was in orange leather and it actually sounded great, I have not liked a mesa since, but that one ruled. got it in about 95? 94?

Did anyone end up getting a CCV? Never heard what ended up happening with that situation... NOT to derail this thread or anything.

Funny story, well not really but anyway back in like 06 I had got into a bad jam and everything was fucked up so I had to sell my whole collection of guitars and amps to a dealer who re sells them all over the world. I always missed a few pieces and regretted selling. I always kept an eye out for some of the stuff. About 4 yrs ago I noticed my old lp custom was on eBay in Montana so I contacted the seller and got it back. Then not even a yr ago I noticed my old one off lp deluxe was listed right here in our classifieds so I got that back from mid west. Then a month ago I found my old modded jmp Superlead in nj and worked out a trade and so happy as its a great sounding Marshall. I still look for my old goldtop and my sg jr, who knows, maybe I will find them next! Kind of cool cause I never thought I would find any of my gear yet alone a few different pieces.

I never regret selling gear. It's only gear. If I sold it, that means didn't want it any more - or I wanted something else more.

ESP JH-1 and ESP JH-2. It still bugs me that I sold them.
Yup, somebody offered me 5k plus shipping for my jh2 and i sold it, the profit was too good to turn down. Then about 6 months later i was sorry i sold it, so i tracked down another one for a nice price and bought it. I know theres much nicer guitars than a jh2 but it was my first dream guitar i ever wanted and i always liked them.

I also had a jh1 but i sold it and doubled my money, i dont regret that one but it was a nice guitar.

I have had two guitars that fall into this category: a black Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom and a trans amber Jackson PC-3 with a Wilkinson bridge. I really wish I didn't have to part with either of them, but I needed the money very badly at the time.

Sometimes I wish I didn't trade my Charvel Model 6 for the Tokai Love Rock I had...but then I remember how awesome that guitar really was!

did you ever have squealing from the patchmate switching the high gain preamps in and out of the path?

by the way,

bad move!
( just had to twist the daggar :hys: )

No, the switching worked flawlessly. In fact, that makes it even more painful. The whole rack worked great, no ground loops, no issues.

Yes, BAD MOVE.

In fact, it was EPIC just how bad that move was. The only reason I am not still crying myself to sleep at night is that I really had tired of moving that thing around. Too big, too heavy, too much. Who needs that many tones? Two good channels, a boost pedal and a volume control is all I need for gigs.

very true
and listen man if you are happy with you're current rig and it does the job you need it to do then that is the perfect rig period.
i have a pile of crazy rack and pedal crap in my livingroom right now and it sounds great but the amount of hassle it would take to make this gig ready makes it less attractive so no pressure to hurry and use it all now-just having fun
i used my gforce on one preset for like a year before making it midi ready

my regret sell offs---carol ann od2r, egnater tol 100, some classic pedals like ce-1, original tc lineup, ada and mxr flangers, rare rivera buf IV pedal, hardwood/wicker mark IIb 300 series head build and signed by randy smith.

Exactly. We're on the same page in all respects.

As for the section I highlighted in red.....

Hey, I used to have a Egnater TOL100 as well! The reason I let mine go was it was noisy as hell on all settings that had any gain. I mean REALLY noisy... wonder if mine was broken or something?!
