Oh my. Reminds me of my college days in 1986, when I was too nervous to play my guitar in front of people and I'd down a few beers, get the old confidence going, and then sound like I was playing with two left hands because of the beer!

george is getting sloppy with age .....

i really want a mr scary guitar though

Like most here, I was a huge Lynch fan from way back but have wondered for awhile what is going on with him. I still remember getting the Smoke This cd at a used cd store and actually throwing it in the trash about 20 minutes later when I stopped to get something to eat. Maybe that was the beginning of the end for me, although I must say I did like Revolution. In any case, George has earned it and can play anything or any way he wants, it's just that I probably won't be interested in listening.

I can't say anything about that. Tons of background noise, which is no one's fault, and what I could hear, he can play circles around me.

When I first heard this, I thought it was one of the "shreds" parodies.

The older I get...The better I was...For alot of guitar players...this is true...I'm one of em

Looks like George has been spending a little too much time at the spa getting facials and plastic surgery and not practicing

All these choices we have now, it's easy to get caught up in the tone chase rather than improving the craft.
Too true. I've caught myself falling victim to that several times (including recently)...just recommitted myself to more playing and less tweeking within the last few months.

Wanted to add my 2 cents as a long time Lynch fan, GL is a legend if BFTA or WS came out tomorrow we would be blown away. When have you seen a namm demo that blew your mind? Times have changed and so has his playing. if its the same then he gets bashed for "same old licks" if he evolves to suit his taste of the day then "his playing has slipped" Lynch Mob Smoke n Mirrors is a good record with some great guitar moments Time Keepers and We will remain are vintage Lynch.

I agree that his style can produce can occasional bad day, but when he is on there are few that can compete with his feel and groove, and IMO its that slightest bit of uncertainty of what's it gonna be that keeps us intrigued lastly after 30 years he is still very very relevant makes music touring and good or bad we all still talk about him, which says it all
Often called a gear whore..... thats so funny, aren't we all!!

Just my 2 cents

I was just having this conversation with Chubtone the other day...very true.

LOL...I was going to say the same thing -- St. Sanders would have been proud.

I used to love the guy but that was absolutely pathetic. :aww:

The gloves? That's just stupid. A guitar player that wears gloves?

Do not bring age into it, other guys during that same period can still play their asses off and come off as a professional musician.

True.

Damn. Not sure what's up with that, but sure I didn't like it! I loved his playing in that recent vid of him in the desert, so not sure how he can go from that extreme "still got it" to this?
