As long as you can match it sport. Otherwise there is no upside for me.
As long as you can match my playing, sport, you got it. Can't wait for clips.

Everyone knows Gibson's QC and Customer service went to shit for a bunch of years.

I got screwed by them a couple times as well.

They also are a legendary guitar company. And everyone that hates them wishes other companies WERE them

Yeah, unfortunately for him I've heard clips of all the other "Shred in nickname" accounts, and it isn't a bold move at all
Well to be fair I asked him if he was actually Steve Stevens a few days ago and he said he is not so you can put that thought out of your mind. If he's lying and is actually Steve Stevens then betting a pair of leather pants would probably be too much enticement for him to refuse the challenge.

After hearing Richie Sambora, the Tone King, and every other doo wop dego play guitar, Steve and Michael Romeo would be the only guys I would be worried about

And since I'm not a cheeseburger or leather pants, I'm not worried about it

Some Gibson hate is justified, like on the Silver panel Gibson amps from the mid 60s like the Saturn and Minuteman that I worked on recently. WTF was Gibson thinking?

As for their guitars, sure they have had some dogs, but I love my '73 Norlin LP custom, especially with the new bridge. Love my '03 LP standard LE as well.

Only thing I won't be doing is buying a new Gibson guitar, I often get sticker shock when I see the prices.

Here are some of the things I’ve observed about Les Paul guitars after owning a custom and a ‘59 reissue and playing several throughout my life:

The 3x3 headstock looks cool but the design is dumb and begs for tension/binding issues at the nut.

90% of guitars come from the factory with a badly cut nut. 90% of luthiers don’t know how to cut a nut correctly.

The steep headstock angle is a poor design, as well as the lack of scarf-joint where the neck meets the headstock and the general lack of wood reinforcement.

Gibson’s customers are dumb for not only accepting these flaws but complaining when designs are changed to fix them.

Growing up Kiss told me only a Gibson is good enough! LOL Jimmy Page and Ace looked bad ass with theirs. I got my 1st when I was 16. 1976 one owner Wine Red Custom. Year later all the shred guitars with custom graphics were the rage. I sold that LP for a custom Klein painted Kramer body with a Paul C's neck that Bill from Guitar Trader put together for me. Still not sure what kinda crack I was smoking when I sold that LP. My teacher owned that for 10 years and I paid $425 for it in the 80's. The Kramer had a Reaper holding an axe dripping blood..etc. Was cool for about a minute! I dig graphic guitars but for what I had and sold to get what I got still hurts! LOL

These are the latest starting with a 2020 Custom, a 2018 Figured Custom, a 2025 W.W. Spec R0 and a 2004 Supreme that came directly from Gibson from one of my old students who worked there. Not pictured is a JB Goldtop studio.

No fan of that band but the supremacy of the Supreme is without question bro.

My Gibson SG with a JB is just perfect . I’ve just started to play it again . I’m going to not just play 8 string in my hand. SG sounds so good . Im not a big Gibson guy really though

I like when the only a gibson is good enough guys get a new axe and the first move is to rip the pickups out. It's almost as funny as me buying a knockoff and then putting Gibson pickups in it
