I think Steve K has one on order and George Metropoulos of Metro Amps owns one. I have played George's a few times and it was a sweet guitar, defiantly had that vintage LP feel and sound. I think Gil winds his own pickups but don't remember what was in George's. I not much help as I'm not really a LP guy but hit George up on here or at the Metro forum.
I have one coming in a month or so. Pete Thorn has one coming soon too. Head over to TGP under the "small company luthiers" section. There's a few GY topics over there and several current owners.
Tom Bartlett makes a mean LP replica as well and should also be added to your list for consideration. Mine was delivered two months ago and it is nothing short of amazing. The quality of his work and the tone woods he uses are second to none. Good luck in your search!
I went through Cliff because he had the build slots allocated and available. Otherwise, I would have been on a long wait list direct through Gil. Also, being where I am and where he is, there were some logistical issues. Gil's a hell of a nice guy though and communicates with you. He sent me pics of several hundred blanks to pick a top from. I went with something from the reclaimed maple pile which is aged 50+ years. Here's the top after carve but before routing.
Cost depends on the top you select and on the level of aging. Near enough to 9-10K to not worry about a few bucks though....
Gil builds in batches. He normally will prepare bodies and necks. When you place an order, depending on if a slot is available, all he has to do is cut, prep and carve the top, finish and hardware. So, somewhere between 4 months and a year depending on where you get in at.
