I mean, i'm gigantic and I love the shorter les paul scale. Especially for rhythm, it just hits right for me.

I felt that way about strats and rhythm playing. They have more snap than a Paul. Granted I'm not chugging but for funky work a strat does nicely.

But everyone is going to have different feelies with different guitars. I love the way SGs look, but they feel awkward for me to play standing up - same with a firebird.

I can post up for sure, but I generally only post up when theres a mouse in the house and I can bully them - or, I want to make a point/make someone make a defensive switch to help out a teammate

Since you're big, my game plan would be to sink a few jumpers to make you honest and force you to face up and get your feet sliding and then take you to the rack - most other big white dudes are not used to defending guard/wing skillsets
