Did you only get the Lead Mod, or was anything else done to the amp?

I'm dying to find out what you think?

I rehersed with my band last night with it and that's always the true test for me to see how it sits in the mix. So here's what I think so far. It definitely is agressive and quiet. The tone it compares to most is a Cali IMO. It's got way more gain than I'd ever need but sounds great to me with the gain around 3-4. The bottom stays tight but not overly tight. It got enough sag to be forgiving but far from tubby. The tone controls are very active. The mid pot has the most tonal sweep by far of any Marshall that I've ever owned. It goes from classic Marshall to Death Metal. It works almost like a graphic eq and I was really surprised about that. Great to have if you want tonal variety. It's a great sounding mod for sure and has a different flavor than the other amps I own. I hope to get some clips posted this weekend. :2thumbsup:

i tried to contact la sound about the mod myself, im interested in getting it done also ,but i had the wrond dept ? ,not sure but who would i need to talk to

:rawk: I told ya.
I am glad to hear that you like it.
I got one that Darren Cooper sent from England/UK to Martin at LA sound and had done same as you.
Art/232 cap used to own it after that.
I really love what this amp does.
Martin has an awesome take on his version of 'What a Marshall should be.'
I think you may agree, that these are a better representation for a marshall than what the factory is/has put out.

Hollywood...is my description close to what your's sounds like?

Hey LP Freak how do you like the Metro 12000 series Plexi?

 I am not sure I liked the seymour duncan booster on for striking chords.
to my ears it mad things overly muddy.
But it seemed to help the single note work sing a good bit better.
what amp is this James ?

Killer Plexi tone. Very lush, shimmering sounding clean and the Brown Sound when it's cranked. I wish I could have a clean channel like that on an amp. It was definately tweeked before I got it.
