LP, you gave a very good description for what we both have.
I had to do quite a bit to mine when I got it.
Not really sure what happened but between Art's place and down to me
when I got the amp it had issues.
I took it for a' pimp my amp' ride but did nothing to it to alter anything martin had done to make it what it was.
I can add that with these Golub mods the pre-amp tubes are everything.
Art had added a metro loop kit, which he did an awesome job of installing.
I was so impressed with it and what it could do, I decided to make it a looker also.
The best description I can think of is the name for the lead mod should be,
'The pony express mod'........cause when you got it set righ,t and cranked,
that bitch wants to do only one thing................Ride like hell!

 I am not sure I liked the seymour duncan booster on for striking chords.
to my ears it mad things overly muddy.
But it seemed to help the single note work sing a good bit better.
what amp is this James ?

Ceriatone Plexi 100 watt

so this amp comes assembled ? or in a kit ?
I guess I should be a little better at window shopping...
You guys should give a good listen to Johnnyjellybean/steve's new amp. The plexiplus.
It just smokes.
I got the very 1st one leaving out for sale sitting there, waiting to come to me. Steve is awesome to deal with and built an awesome amp.

Here's a short clip to give you an idea. Guitar was straight in, Gain on 2.

WOW...that was gain knob on 2? :D me likey! btw,it's always great to get a clip showcasing an amp that really lets me HEAR THE AMP,not a delay pedal, not reverb, not slaved thru 4 cabs, not with a drum machine in the background,etc.... thx for doing it right ;)

LP Freak, that sounds awesome, it really nails the Aldrich tone...

Yep 2. If you back the gain down a little for more of a classic crunch, it brightens up a little too for more of a Plexi tone. Very cool.

Neddo........you forgot WET/DRY/WET..........

:hys: \:D/

Thanks, the clip was recorded at near stage volume. The built in compressor on the Q3 does a pretty good job of not clipping the signal. I hate when guy's record at a level so low that you can hear the strings clanking on the frets.  You gotta work them tubes a little.

That's nice and nasty and still retains what I call, that hollow but full plexi sound.
