I ran a T'Rex in the loop of my 5153. Not sure why you would ant to put it in front?

I used to use the original Aqua-Puss in front of my non-loop amps and it sounded pretty good but it was always better in a loop. Way-Huge (now Dunlop owned although George Tripps is still on board) has reissued it and its supposedly the same as the old one...maybe worth a look.
That said, running two more cables to the loop of the 5153 seems like a pretty small issue...certainly not worth the tonal sacrifice for the minor convenience of fewer cables IMO.
