I'm looking for a good wireless or wired speaker system that I can use to play along to music with my amp. Yeah, I could go with a PA system or something but I live in an apartment. So I'm looking for something compact and simple. Should I go with studio monitors? I'd need a separate amp or something to power them? I don't know anything about that sort of thing. Would a set of powered monitors be better than something like a bluetooth speaker from Bose or Samsung or something? Jawbone?
Ideally, I'd want speakers large enough to actually put out some decent bass for the drums and such. And something with enough power/headroom to actually let me turn my amp up to a decent volume (not band level obviously). But I don't play at mouse-fart volumes at home either.
There's a 2 x 100 watt bluetooth speaker from Thodio (iBox
http://store.thodio.com/collections/frontpage I don't really care about the fancy looks of the thing. But it seems to have some good speakers in it paired with a good amp.
There's also the DiamondBoxx HD that is also 200 watts: http://diamondboxx.com
Overpriced? Something else I should be looking at?
