Got a temp ban on TGP

The stuff they let go was pretty odd, or rather what they did not let go. I got countless suspensions for posting “non PG13 content” yet half the front page of the pub is usually guns, alcohol or weed.
It’s just a rule they keep in their pocket to hand out to whomever is on their shot list at the moment
 
Ironically, that gun nut thread over there is so big, I think people would consider it a good resource. I know I go back and search for some stuff in there once in a while. I have to think, when the mods aren't getting pegged by their girl bosses, they sometimes fantasize about owning guns and so go read that thread.

Are you sure you've ever actually been in TGP Pub?

There is not a single thread on the first page, second page, or third page related to any of those topics. I didn't bother looking any further. The gun thread is usually buried quite far back, and only pops up on the front page once in a while when someone posts. I agree their moderation is fucked, but let's not just make up a bunch of bullshit.

I've been a member for many, many years under several different user names. I don't mind that they keep politics out, because it always, without fail devolves into name calling and utter stupidity. My main issue is banning people for idiotic shit like this: I was once banned because I started a thread about Gwyneth Paltrow's vagina scented candles. Some fucking pathetic piece of shit must have complained about it, so the thread was deleted and I got a week vacation. The next fucking day, someone else posted a thread about the same thing. Was it deleted? Nope. Was the guy given a temp ban? Nope.

I think that's the main problem, the lack of consistency, and the fact that it mostly only happens if some pussy complains. That's probably why I got a ban for mentioning orange face. Some retard complained about it.

Oh here's a good one. I was once temp-banned for using the phrase "fake news".

I appreciated their no politics rule as well, as inconsistent as it was. But I maintain a lot of it came down to personal relations and how often people were reported, usually over personal beef and not necessarily breaking rules
 
I've never name-called anyone on that forum and I've still gotten banned from threads. If you say something that is true, it might be considered "touchy", and then they assume it's "political". The old saying goes, if you want to make people mad, all you have to do is speak some truth.

That was also my experience. The only suspension I got came from a week-old post the very hour the guy I had been interacting with came back from a weeklong suspension. Wasn't hard to connect the dots on that one.

They are doing something new that I've never seen before. They didn't delete this guys post or suspend him but gave a warning at the top of it that says
Inappropriate Content, attacking other members

They won't allow flat earth threads, even though it's a PG topic. That topic has a way of exploding heads, as I've learned here recently.
