Gotoh FR question

I got this Gotoh FR to replace the OEM FR on my Washburn N24. Notice how it sits kind of offset? There is more space on the low E side. Is this the same with an original FR as well? The OEM one is the same width on both sides.

Yeah, there's a bit less distance between the edge of the low E saddle and the edge of the baseplate. It's the same with an OFR. That's the way they design them, for some reason. Other than that, the saddles don't look misaligned to me.
 
The OFR and Gotoh are both offset, wider on the bar side due to the bar attachment collar needing more room on that side.
 
Are you going to grind the Gotoh edges down to fit the guitar route?
