always seems to be a lot of people complaining about Friedman prices... yeah their not inexpensive, but Marshall's and other amps aren't that much cheaper. I bet a bunch of them complaining about amp prices have $10k, $20K or more in guitars, and a Friedman small box is $2799 shipped.....I don't get it

I think in this case, the amps do different things. Friedman for the vintage hot rodded thing and evh for over the top saturation. There is room for both. Considering this thread is about friedman's amps, it is hardly shitting on the evh line. Hell, I still think an 800 opened up and pushed by a good boost is the tone of the gods as well so there is room for personal taste.

I don't own one, and at the moment cannot afford one, 2 children etc... priorities, family first.

But how anyone could bash it makes me laugh. My ears hear a kick ass amp from the guy. Apparently lots of people agree on it.

Because its 3k plus, doesn't mean it deserves a bashing. Gear costs $ and very good gear costs more. Like anything else in the market.

I love my 5153 50 watt and for the most part, I joke about it "shitting," on the big guys, ( Deizel, Friedman, etc.,) but I cannot deny the killer tone from them.

Even that BE pedal is sounding killer. The guy just makes some top notch gear.

The Cantrell amp completely decimates everything else in the room. Wow, what an amazing sounding amp. The Mastodon amp I would have liked to have heard with a guitar that had a humbucker in the tail but it sounded cool.
