Michael Nielsen is a killer producer and knows great guitar tones. Great review and demo of the amp. Michael is the one that helped me with my Henning Bottle Rocket Kemper profiles.

Wow, that sounds great to me. Probably Friedman's best offering to date for me.

cool amp!! dave has my amp currently. its going to be bitchin!

Sounds more Mesa than Marshall. Not really my ideal modified Marshall tone. Very saturated... and as mentioned, very compressed.

I have one, hearing it in person I don't get a Mesa vibe at all. It sounds like a brighter, more open BE-100.

Alrighty then. I’ll stick with my original 1967 SLP and a good od pedal. Enjoy.

Does anyone else hear the buzzing on the high gain sounds? Starting around 8:10. Bottom end buzz doesn’t sound awesome to me.

I'm not a fan of that recording honestly. I'm sure the amp sounds good in person. Sounds like it was close miked and there is no "air" to the sound which really does a disservice to the demo in general.

Just got mine on Monday night. Matching BE-212 came in yesterday.
I’ll post up something soon.
What an amp! Holy cow does it sound great in person!

I am really happy with the amp and the features on it.

I didn't hear $3500 nice, whatsoever. Not impressed.

Sounds really good to me. Clean is gorgeous, and with the response and so forth you can do the vintage to modern thing. This sounds like it can almost compete with the 20th XTC, and I thought I'd never say that about any amp.

I thought it covered alot of ground and I didn't hear it as compressed as the BE100, the Response control sure sounds like a Negative Feedback control with more negative feedback the amp gets looser more spongy plexi like, turned up with less negative feedback the amp will get get tighter and more modern, kind of what Suhr has on the PT 100. Seems like alot of great features to really dial the amp to fit almost any music style.

Will Marshall sue Dave for using the likeness of a JCM800? I wonder if they trademarked that... Didn't they force him into using the offset cabs chassis layout or what that Dave's call?

I was thinking the same thing. It's not bad, but I definitely didn't say wow.
