Griffin Analog/Uncle Waynzo Appreciation Thread

Thanks to my dear Uncle Waynzo, and with the help of some exceedingly generous members here at RT, I have steadily been adding some tonal treasures to my sonic arsenal. If you are a player looking for something specific, or have a special graphic or pedal control layout request, I humbly suggest shooting @griff10672 a private message and asking him what he can do to help. He has been very patient with my annoying requests for specialty builds i.e dip switches and internal trim pots placed on the front of the pedal, mini toggel infestations, jewel lights, and 9v battery capable creations. Let him know your needs!

Check out my newest addition, the Purple Fez, a mini toggeL encrusted, jewel light equipped work of audible art based on a prince of tone. And yes, the Pulteq EQ is so good I now have two of them thanks to one of the aforementioned generous members. Salute!

That’s a very respectable collection of Griffin Analog pedals you’ve got there there.

I gotta say The Purple Fez is THE real eye catcher of the bunch.

I had all intentions of picking up a pedal or 2 from Uncle Waynzo, but I blew most of my cash I had available on the SG I bought.

I’m in the process of putting a guitar and an amp on FB and CL , which I REALLY hate, but I want to see if I get any real interest.

If not, they could end up at GC.

Once they sell, then I’ll have some pedal money.

Of course, I’m going to buy a pedal or 2 that I don’t already have in my collection.

The Griffin POT pedal does sound interesting.

Is there a Griffin KOT pedal, as that might interest me more?

I believe @griff10672 has made a KOT in the past. Don't let my furry purple hat fool you, I am a simple man at heart and only need a single OD to operate effectively. If you are into classic cranked NMV amp tones don't overlook that Pulteq either. As of last weekend that is my new #1 cranked amp boost. Articulation and clarity for miles.

So both sides of your TOK are exactly the same?

And both have an external switch so each side can be set to low or high gain ?

I would have to check the schematic .... my head hasn't been in that circuit / pedal for a few years now .... but I think they are the same .... and it has the trim pots inside and the dip switches to alter either side ... gain switches are on top .....

the trim pots control the presence .... the dip switches control the diode configuration

there's separate jacks for each side ..... so you can run what ever you want between the two .... if there is nothing in the inside jacks ..... the right side goes into the left side .... no patch cable needed

Nothing like having them mounted up top. Fingertip control. Tomorrow I think I'm gonna let the purple fez rip thru a cranked Twin when nobody's around.

I didn't have room to put all the controls on top for that one .... I would have had to go into the same size enclosure as the VonBon Deluxe

That's probably become my favorite pedal I've ever owned. My adventures with it have only really just begun. ES335-pulteq-cranked twin=clarity, articulation, tone. Just enough gain for a good sustaining blues tone.
