A sea of middle-aged dads, like meself :D I'd want to be there. A different continent doesn't matter :) We're all the same :D

Looked fun. Did everyone get a chance to plug and play most of the amps?
I love a good ampfest.

Everyone was encouraged to try everything but it seemed most wanted to rock the vintage Marshall's, the SLO, the bogner. The super reverb, fortin bones, peavey's were all played. We ended up not getting to play the suhr badger or the pink taco unfortunately. There were a LOT of people there so it would have been hard to play every amp and let everyone play too who wanted to. I can tell you I got home and had my first true headache from being around amps blasted at 11!!! LOLOL

Was too crowded. I didn't even bother bringing in my guitar, but still got to hear just about every amp. It was fun. It was loud. James is a real character, and Johnny and Harris were super cool. Next time I'll plan on staying longer.

It was quiet in the backroom until someone cranked that Mark III. My stepson had a blast playing your Thorns. They're a step up from his Squire...

Sorry bout that! Mike had that little bastard cooking.

It was good to see the local guys again and to put faces with names.

Bill's cooking is always great and James' home truly feels like a happy place.
Bill's Octopus Garden is still my favorite guitar ever but there were some beauties laying around!

There were quite a few musicians there that had gigs planned or soundchecks to attend the same night. Many musicians there but there were just as many people that had somewhere to be. Everyone was invited to play and we tried to keep the play times somewhat reasonable. It was a lot of fun for sure. I brought some over the counter pain meds for headaches

The amps were cranked for quite a while. Not a bad sounding amplifier in the bunch - they all sounded unique.

The detail work is just nuts. Thanks again to Bill for bringing that one out. We looked over the guitar and even after a good 10 minutes of speaking about it there were fine details that you could still pick out not noticed before. Simply stunning. The one piece Limba tele sounded killer through the fender and marshalls. The pickups were insane

Man that amp was a blast to play! I owned a mark III several years ago and now I have the bug again.

Great time. Hearing my Bones against all the Marshalls made me realize that it ain't my thing. Up on the block soon.

Its too bad the Pink Taco didn't get any airtime.... its a beast.

I really enjoyed that Triple Recto! I was surprised how good it sounded.

Would've been nice to get more time with your modded 6505+. You were too busy jamming on James' Friedman and my Friedman though.

I wanted to take that SLO home so badly. I still don't know why I crouched down near the cabs when the volume was at 6.

I told Johnny after the party I want to start using it more. It sounds so aggressive and Laura The Valve Queen hooked me up with the ultimate set of tubes for it.

The bones was extremely easy to play though. From an amplifier perspective it was the easiest to play at band volumes, but the rhythm tone did sound completely different than any other amplifier down there. Not bad, but different for sure

Thanks man! Yeah the old 5150 will be going through another revision soon. I took a ton of low end away from it last time because I thought it was over the top. Having played against some of the big boys though I will be adding it back in spades and trying to keep things tight

I really wanted to hear the clean channel of that 5150 against the fender and the Vox. I spent quite a lot of time fixing the clean channel too. So much to play and so little time.

Bill's SLO fit you like a glove. The job you did on the finish of your LP looks amazing. Be proud of that thing. It looks like an early 70's model with the finish which is awesome

On another note I did not really get a chance to hear the recto in the bunch. I am sure it sounded great.

Thanks man.

You're only 3 hours from me. It'd be easy to check that amp out
