"Cleans up well with the volume knob"...not sure why that would drive anybody nuts as it's a simple and accurate way to describe dynamic response (coincidentally another frequently misunderstood concept).

For me it's because every review of every pickup I read always says that no matter what pickup they are reviewing whether it's a PAF or 23k ceramic... I don't think it means what they think it means and ends up telling me nothing. Kind of like "haunting mids" and "tone for days", whatever that means

Feeler - I don't waste time trying to do business with these types. And the more emphasis you put on it- "Mega Huge Feeler!!" the less interested I become. What is that supposed to mean to your target audience anyway? You'll ALWAYS have buyback rights with me if I end up sending it down the road. So sell it or dont. Keep it in your own circle out of the classifieds if you have to.

Artist owned - Who cares. Even if we did, you won't tell us who the former "artist owner" was without making a big deal out of it anyway. Woopty-doo, Basil. Besides, as far as condition goes, you say "Artist Owned", it instantly registers as "Road Worn" to me. And if that IS the case, trying to spin those dings, scratches and scrapes as "character" is wasted on me.

"Plug and Play"

Really? What are all those shinny knobs for then?

Sadly, I'm pretty sure i've used that one in my own ads...

"If it doesn't sell this weekend I'm keeping it!!"

No shit Sherlock, if it doesn't sell you kind of have to don't you?!

So, basically anything that comes out of the mouth of a musician? :dunno:

I think someone describing the low end of a guitar tone as "tight" lol. It's not a dis on the person using it( I have), just the ambiguity of the term....some folks mean it as controlled, some lots of lows, some folks mean it as not a lot of lows...

price drop for the weekend only!!!

Because come Monday, there's no chance you'd take that same price......

'Tone'

When I think tone, I think of a single note as in a pure tone. I want a guitar that puts out tones, not just one tone. Lol. Tone in general just gets overused.

It's pretty self explanitory. If you know what Flubby tone is?? you should know what tight tone is. It usually describes palm muted tones.... as silly as it sounds, it's the best way to explain it.
