I LOVE Reverb (best thing since sliced bread), but I just wanted to vent out my frustration at some dumb guy I encountered there.
So this "buyer" started out with a $1 dollar offer for my Telecaster and the offer automatically got rejected because it was too low (love this feature!). He continued until he hit $300 bucks + the shipping I was asking for and asks "Hey man, wanna trade?" (no context, images, links; nothing....).
Since Reverb doesn't support the whole trading thing, I thought to myself "Well.. maybe since he did a high and very reasonable offer (I am asking for $330), he is simply giving me 2 pathways". I took the offer and responded something along the lines of "I'm not interested in trades but I will happily take the offer you made and ship out the guitar on Monday".
After the sale took place, the guy then asks me "Hey man, did you even read my question?". Which by that point I was sure I was dealing with a n00b that didn't know jack shit about how offers work through Reverb.
Long story short... left the guy 1 star feedback, reported his ass through customer support, and sent him print screens of Reverb's policies and guidelines regarding the situation.
The guitar got relisted and now I have the same number of watchers, views and offer history I had at that point (which was a pleasant surprise).
Rant off
