Guys with seminar heads, is this supposed to look like this?

Hey guys,
I just received my seminar head from an ebayer and sadly, it was badly packed. Busted power tube and this just doesn't seem exactly right to me, so i was wondering if any of you guys could tell me if this fast blow looks the same on your amp. It's loose and i dont wanna force stick it in as i'm not sure.

That's a broken fuse for sure!

Dang, that's a bummer. Well, when removing it to install a good one, do i have to just yank on it and also remove the metal ring within the black jack or not (i'm assuming that's part of the broken fuse too)...
 
Do you have the little black cap that holds the fuse in? (Couldn't see in the pics)
 
Now that you mentioned it, i found it laying in the box. Shoulda figure that since the other fuse has one, this one should too huh :lol: :LOL:

Jus making sure ya didn;t need to buy a new fuse holder too :D
 
Guys, sorry to ask again but in the last picture, should i try to remove that metal ring around the black jack or is that not a part of the fuse?
And lastly, the ebayer mentioned that as long as i pop in a set of 34's in the amp to replace the busted ones, i wouldn't need to rebias it. I used to have the mts head so i always redid it after each retube, so i'm a little unfamiliar with that. Do the seminar heads work like that?
 
No you will need to rebias the amp after installing new tubes. The seller sounds like an idiot.

for $100.00 my tech put bias controls on the outside of my seminar head. works great.

I have a sense that Ruby el34BHT power tubes are the better choice for the seminar head, tongsol EL34b's not so good (good for Mod50)

Anyone else chime in?

+1.......Seller is an idiot!! You must bias the amp for new power tubes.
 
Is the seminar head easy enough for somebody without much tech training to bias?
