Ya, it's a tough call as there's still not a LOT of material out there. I kinda tried to sum it up when the clips first started rolling in...jasonmwnf":1mcsv0ia said:yngzaklynch":1mcsv0ia said:I hope to hear some clips/vids of the Hagen soon. Remind me... what was the philosphy for this amp? There isn't much the Herbert doesn't do and do well. What type of player is the Hagen geared towards? I'm sure it will be a killer amp.

The best clip I've herd to date is the one on Diezel's actual website on the Hagen page (the vid on the bottom right).

There were several threads as to the tonal differences, how it compared to the V or the Herb, etc. Basically, and what got the nod of approval from the 2 Peters, was, in summary, the Hagen is a looser playing amp than the VH4 with a more modern feel to it. It has a sparkling spanking clean, the crunch is a new tone, the Ch.3 on the Hagen is similar to the Ch.3 of the VH4 but raunchier and modernized, and Ch.4 is overkill.
I can't remember the bits that made everything glue together, but run the search, check out the vids, and see for yourself. I think it's going to be absolutely killer. There's something to be said for the cut of the VH4, but there's also something to be said for its compression. My guess is the Hagen's got a lot of new tonal terrain for Diezel - especially in the clean and crunch arena.
So be it.
