if you're into the expresion pedal thing, i've got a TZF laying around i'm wanting to move.

I am into it when I want to pretend I'm Pat Travers. I didn't even know what a TZF was, but I just researched it and found this on their website:

"Q: How will TZF sound with my rig?

A: It depends on how you have things set up. I can't stress enough how important it is to run all of your distortion/fuzz/overdrive effects BEFORE Paradox TZF, and run your amp clean. If you like to use your amp's built in distortion/overdrive, then put TZF in your amp's effects loop. If it doesn't have one, TZF will loose much of it's intensity. Rule of thumb - don't run TZF into a distortion box of any type or into a distorted amp.

If your setup is based on a distorted amp with no effects loop, Paradox TZF is definitely not the flanger for you. If you use pedals for all of your distortion needs, and run a powerful, clean amp, TZF will shine. This is true for most delay, chorus, and flanger effects."

The part in bold worries me because the ADA Flanger is killer into a single channel distorted amp

you're better at taking things literally than i am, i read all that and turned it into want i wanted to hear!


suppose i've run it out front into a dirty amp, but don't remember the results? know i've run it with a dirt pedal in front into a clean amp with good results.

the TZF will do things that the MXR can't, like Thru Zero obviously, but for stuff like Van Halen, Maiden, etc. the MXR is a better choice. the TZF is gonna be for even more old school stuff like Jimi, Joe Walsh, and one of the Queen tunes. don't guess i knew Travers used flange, i allways thought vibe for him?


the thing that makes me not want to keep the TZF is that it has an Envelope filter knob, and even with it off it will still have little bit of that envelope sound, or atleast i never thought i could get it dialed out? think somebody with some blues in thier blood might get along with it and the sound will fit?

the thing will Jet plane like all get out if you get it set right. allways meant to run drums through, but never got around to it.

not sure yet on a price yet? depends how things shake out with my Sig-x and some other stuff? my ebay account is all screwed and was hoping not to have to get it going again, if i do i'd probably put the pedal on there as they are bringing way more than they originally sold for.

do a comepleted listings search for FOXROX and see if you find any.

for awhile they were going for up to $700 and maybe more, then i think people got greedy and started putting them on there and the price came down. last i checked they were around $500, some were still trying the $600 range and think i guy set low ball in the $400 something range.

hell, i can't even check comepleted listing untill i get my account back to going.

Damn, If I've got that much to spend, the last thing it's going towards is a Flanger alone

But damn do I like those things! Maybe Joe B. can make me a clone on the cheap
