Time-based effects have a Tempo parameter. Setting this to none ignores the current tempo. Setting it to a note value, i.e. 1/4, 1/8, etc., causes the effect to use the current tempo as a basis for the time or rate.
For example in the delay block, if you set the Tempo to 1/4 the delay time would then be a quarter note at the current tempo. Tapping a new tempo would change the time accordingly.
You assign Tap Tempo in the I/O->CTRL menu. To assign it to a pedal, set it to the desired pedal, i.e. Pedal 2.
