Anyone know where to find any? My 84 custom has 1 tuner that's binding up and needs replacing, these are impossible to find!!!!
Looks like this

God,I remember those! Had an explorer with them on it. Please let me know if you find a place to get them.

Personally I would just replace them all with something comparable. You won't find a current manufacturer making those. Just not a market for them. Your only chance is if you can find some used ones and that will probably be very difficult. Probably more looking for used versions than selling them.

Probably this. But, if you go that route, you may as well try to take the bad tuner apart, clean, and lube it. Just might work.

I have them on my silverburst and I have looked for a set just in case. I can't find them in any color..good luck

Thanks for all the replies!
I've strongly considered this, but I'm not aware of what tuners what be a direct drop in without modifying guitar. Don't want to put new holes in headstock.

Have you tried calling Gibson?

Wow, those are nifty...actually SEEMS like a great idea, but since it hasn't caught on in the past 30 years I'm guessing they're not such a good idea after all IRL?

Yeah I've seen the schallers, just didn't know if they'd line up with current ones
