Looking to start playing some acoustic gig with the singer. Recommend me a guitar in the $500-$700 range. Currently considering the Takamine JG72 ce or PRS SE Angelius.

Yeah, I'd go into a store and play a bunch of Yamahas if I had the chance. Great bang for your buck yet quality guitars. I usually just pick up a bunch of random acoustics, play them, decide if it feels good, decide if it's as bright or mellow as I want, look at the name, then the price, and go from there. I played a $200 Yamaha that played and sounded nicer than a $2000 Taylor even through the fretwork itself wasn't the greatest, and bought it right off the bat. Sadly my apartment has since f**ked it up, with its constant temp and humidity changes, despite my best efforts![]()
Whatever you get, keep it in its case when not in use!!

Just pick any Martin. Every Martin 6-string dreadnought is made from the cheapest woods and they have ZERO projection, but they look good hanging on your wall hook.Marshallman":liawnzoz said:Looking to start playing some acoustic gig with the singer.
