I like it! Nicely done!!!
Thanks man! - yeah going for a really beefy head case for this one.midnightlaundry":2lx252jm said:Oh hell yeah. Nice Headshells!![]()
They look beefy as fuck even tho the amp is smaller than the mothership.
Much appreciated!rottingcorpse":11urys9e said:Always amazed at your eye for design. Classy as I have seen.
Man, I hope you get to play one someday...PeteLaramee":1l2aa2nb said:That looks great Steve. I still haven't tried the CB yet, now you have another one I'm jonesing to try.
That make my day, man! Glad you are diggin' the Bomb!Beyond Black":3a6roukc said:Looks awesome, Steve. I acquired the triple black Cherry Bomb in a trade a few weeks ago and I love it. The Plex channel gets truly authentic Plexi tones and cleans up so well with the volume knob. Also higher gain plexi tones with the saturation switch. The Rod channel also retains some of that Plex channel tone and fatness, but with a ton of available gain. It's not the tightest amp, but it's so fat and thick sounding. And so warm. When I want to tighten it up, I'll set the gain to 12-1 o'clock and clean boost it with an OD-9 and it gets tight and pretty vicious. Insanely versatile amp. Everything from Plexi to brootz, it's a wicked amp.And it's goddamned gorgeous to look at also.![]()
Nicely done, sir.

Ya always can... However, you also can never please everyone, so, ya gotta please yourself...TrueTone500":c9xmh15q said:Meh... You could have done better.
I don't see how a cab could ever be too beefy... I really dig it anyway... BTW - how do you know how much the amp weighs?TrueTone500":c9xmh15q said:1. The cabinet is too thick for the size/weight of the amp... It looks like a cross between a Mojave and a Zinky.
1. The cabinet design has to go! Please use a downsized Cherry Bomb cabinet design.
I like the red ones...TrueTone500":c9xmh15q said:2. The red transformers looked awful at first, but they do follow the theme... I'm undecided here.
2. The transformers can stay, I guess... I'd prefer the hammered grey/silver Radiospares type housings.
Looks fine to me, but you are entitled to your opinion.TrueTone500":c9xmh15q said:3. The "Henning Amplification" chassis logo is too large.
3. Reduce the Henning chassis logo by 50%.
The logo appears cartoonish, because it's a cartoon.TrueTone500":c9xmh15q said:4. The "Bottle Rocket" logo appears cartoonish.
4. Redesign the BR logo, or shit-can it altogether. (I know a guy that can design you an improved logo - free of charge.)
Already covered this... the switches are not all at the same height... The switch indicators are already as close as I want them to the SOLO and LOOP switches...TrueTone500":c9xmh15q said:5. The distance between the switch function indicators vs the actual switches is too great.
5. Close the distance between the switch and switch indicators.
I disagree. Not interested in plexiglass panels... I dig the silkscreened chassis thing...TrueTone500":c9xmh15q said:6. The control panel texture is wrong for the amp, and the Marshall Jubilee knobs don't blend properly with the overall design.
6. For the front (and rear) chassis control panel, I recommend a plexiglass panel w/silver backing/black lettering (see Mojave Dirty Boy), and chicken-head style knobs. Toss around ideas for backing colors and fonts... Anything would look better than matte black.
There is no Henning Sparkler...TrueTone500":c9xmh15q said:For the Henning "Sparkler", I recommend using silver sparkle as base color theme. IMO, it should be the base color scheme of all Henning products. Black powder coated chassis all-around.
Not yet, but there will be... I know just know it. A switchable 7/15 watt cathode bias, foot switchable two channel, foot switchable effects loop, and a 16 Ohm Alnico driver.sah5150":3pmndp8c said:There is no Henning Sparkler...
