It would never stand up in court, but sometimes the patents are granted and smaller companies don't have the resources to fight a larger company, so when they receive a cease and desist, they are shitting in their pants and tend to comply...

As I said, I doubt what I'm doing is remotely similar to what Mesa is doing anyway... and the patent is no longer in force, so... we're good...
