My least favorite part about this harness swap, is that it’s such an improvement, now I want to put one in the semi-hollow & that’s a job I really dread doing 😅
Yeah I let my tech do it.

I can imagine the first time is the worst time but still, total headache. I learned to do pickup swaps and solder pots the right way last year in a solid body and 8 months later I'm still sick of it, lol.

Grats

I had an H150, which was quite nice. Sold it but I think it was a great guitar. Light, too.

Have to wait, probably a month, to get the H535 I just got, back from the refret. So far I’m torn on the pickups. (59’s) The guitar has a little less size in the low end compared to my V’s but it actually meshes really well with some of the amps I have, leaning out the front end and getting more clarity and snap without being gutless. Part of me is interested in the challenge of doing a change on a 335, but I might go as far as check the pot values etc, even if I don’t change the pickups

Gibson calibrated T-Type in the neck, Lollar DB in the bridge.

I’ll be swapping the 59’s out of the H150 pretty soon, but I actually like them in the 535. I think I’ll leave them in for the time being, but I’ve got my eye on Lollars or Wolfetones at some point.

Nah, I’ll never spend 200 on a pickup. Hell, I’ve got 6-8 random pickups (some Gibson) in a draw. I’ll see whatever’s over 8 and less than 14 for the bridge and figure something out. Hopefully I’ve got something in the 7’s for the neck. But I’m on the bridge the majority of the time so may not change the neck at all

535 hands down. I'm biased but it just sounds better. More open, airy, articulate, distinct. Heritage has been knocking it out of the park lately. Killer comparison, you couldn't really ask for a more well done video than that. Great work Cobra.
Agreed
