Amazon had it on sale so I grabbed it. Worth it IMO, very cool to see great photos of those axes and get some behind-the-scenes stories and history on the gear and James’s philosophy about it.

My first MLB game at Wrigley field in da 70's was the Cubs vs Mets.
I was there with the cubs scouts.
Sitting behind me was the fattest man i ever saw smoking a giant cigar about 12 inches long.
It made me so sick just by the fumes, i had to go to the bus and lay down.

I bought the damn book just for the amp section and there is a nice paragraph about how "The Fractal AxeFx preamp has been a dream come true". He will take out a 1962 Explorer but wont take the amps out because its better to preserve them for recording. I saw them with GNR at Giants stadium and their sound was absolutely crushing. Saw them not too long ago and they sounded like a Metallica cover band. I want to love the Axefx...but imo it aint there yet. I hope to still be alive if and when does get there, but thats not today. No disrespect to Axe owners. It just wasnt for me.
