You had one of these incoming just curious what you thought of it?

It'll be in the classifieds soon. He'll refuse to try a boost and off it.

I had a Triptik 2 50w briefly. Really cool amp! What stood out most was its outrageous harmonics. It almost sounded like a Proctavia embedded in the circuit. Plenty of gain on tap, and plenty tight to not need a boost. Definitely a rock/metal amp as advertised.

However, I couldn't get the low end to thump very well. A bit thin in that dept, and no resonance control. Maybe I needed to try the 100w. Cleans were also a bit dark for my taste, though still excellent. Mid gain tones were average. I wouldn't mind revisiting it at some point, but IMO it's best for its lead tones and I'm more of a rhythm player.

I got the triptik 2 , its tight punchy and has plenty of gain on tap. No need for a boost.
I've only played it a couple of times due to the fact that I'm having health issues. My wife says she really likes the way it sounds. I do as well however it seems to be a bit mid heavy. I gonna try rolling power tubes in it . Right now I have 5881's in it. I'm gonna put some EL34's and then try 6l6's in it .
