I mean not much into hockey.....


But my little brother is and he goes to the games a lot and got me a bit interested especially as the hometown team is defying many of the "experts" expectations and everyones expectations this season...... A bunch of hot Rookies apparently.


Haven't paid attention to it too much over the years and have gone to some games as a kid..... I think I was 8 years old last time I went or 10.....


But yeah it seems the Anaheim Ducks aren't too bad this season..... And looking at some games there is a lot of action and it's pretty interesting and fun to watch too

Crazy they went for Carlson too. I think they're gonna lack playoff experience to make a deep run in the West but they've been good.

Have to say don't know too much about Hockey but given their position it seemed like the appropriate move.

It's the most intense team sport. I played a lotta hockey where I grew up but as I was telling one of our beloved progressive friends on the board, you have to be socio or psychopathic to some degree to be really great at it. Many of the best players come from places where the only thing to do for 9 months of the year is play hockey, drink, or fight, and your local hockey league often includes at least two of those things, lol.

In some way I've kinda grown a distaste for watching dudes make dirty hits and skate away knowing they could've just ended someone's career but at the same time, kinda like there is only one thief in the military, there is only one cheap shot in hockey, and everyone else is just getting revenge for it. I think you'll enjoy it Daniel, as it is not a sport for pink pussy hat wearers. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the game.

As a pussy hat wearer, I figured I'd reply, lol. I'm from Chicago area, LOTS of hockey here. My son played up through the ranks and ended up signing and playing Junior A in Canada as a 17-18yr old. I 100% agree with your assessment of 99% revenge - almost no one goes out there to cause injuries by being a stupid dick, that's a very antiquated way of playing. It's MUCH more about speed and skill now, there's no room for the big dopes taking opportunities away from their own team, and nobody will let that guy know more than the guys on his own bench. There is no better team sport on any level.

Yeah man honestly probably going to watch a game tonight if there is one. Not sure but I know the Ducks are in Playoffs now and that is awesome for the town here.

Its a tight Game..... Anaheim at Vegas....

I was gonna do a write-up of the playoffs and got busy...Ducks did a hell of a job this year didn't think they'd expose Edmonton that bad in the first round. Buffalo continues to disappoint I suppose, but they had a good season. Conference finals should be good, I had Colorado and Carolina in the final this year.

Yeah they Ducks were Hopeful faves at Best but not fave faves.....


Either way a good season and great teams across the League IMO and its getting good. Ima watch the Finals and people here in Anaheim arent sour about the loss and still watching games too. Good stuff.
