So, I got tired of lugging around my pedalboard (too heavy) and realized I am using the same FX for years already, so, this is what I did:

The pedalboard as it used to look like:

Naked pedals:

2 pieces of thick aluminum:

Paint and new BBE Supacharger power supply:

The finished product:

that's it guys ... it's a slow friday at my job, so I thought it would be a good idea to share this with you.

That is sweet. It is really well done and looks great. My only setback with doing something like this is my addiction to trying new pedals. You'd have to be pretty married to a certain pedalboard to go through all this trouble. The end result is fantastic, though. Great job!

It was too much work and I guess I would have to charge a shitload of money to make it worth, so I'm not planning to do another one anytime soon...

About the noise, at first I had some hum due to the cheap P.S. I was using (that didn't show when the pedals were in their individual cases), that's why I installed the BBE, and it totally killed every unwanted noise.... now it's dead silent. I highly recommend the Supacharge ... universal voltage is also a big plus.

Weight: the old pedalboard, closed, was 12 Kg (sorry, I don't know how many lbs that is)
The new one, (I have a soft case for it), closed, weighs barely 7 kg

Hey Chaos, Very nice job!!! To me, this looks like it was very inspired by many of the Pedalboards of Pete Cornish. If it wasnt, you should check out his work...

That looks like it was pretty friggin labor intensive!!! How sturdy is it? can it withstand the rigors of gigging? can it withstand some jagoff spilling beer on it?

I always loved that Idea and you did an incredible job, Kudos to you!!!
