How does evh wolfgang pup compare to duncan custom custom?

I really like the wolfgang bridge pup in my wolfgang special. Was wondering how the custom custom compared in sound and output to it. The evh bridge is really expensive compared to a used custom custom. So I was considering the duncan instead for a basswood ibanez rg. Thanks in advance!

I have been curious about this for the same reasons. I like the EVH Wolfgang pickups, but wonder how close the Duncan CC is. I have read it is one of the closest.

I have a Custom Custom in my main guitar but I have never tried a Wolfgang guitar/pup so I can't help you sorry.

It wouldn't surprise me that they are very similar. What is the price delta?

Mine is in Schecter C1+ neck through. I believe the guitar is mahogany. It is Trembucker version though so the poles are not lined up exactly.

The ones in the models made overseas are not the same as the EVH Wolfgang USA pickups either. The EVH Wolfgang USA pickups are expensive, but you can get the ones out of the foreign models a lot cheaper

I have a custom custom in my PRS. To me it has more bass and mids than the Wolfgang. I prefer the custom custom.

This should say "not the same" -- sorry about that. The non USA models dont have the same pickups
