Hmm maybe see if jerry can retrofit one on just screw the backplate in and i dunno fit the rest in the back cavity lol.
BTW i dunno if your heard of the Bareknuckle Sinner but its an overwound piledriver so you might look into that if you want something even hotter which i couldn't imagine lol.
Gorgoues guitar though! may i ask how much it ran you that looks like my kind of fiddle

EDIT: Doesnt suhr sell the silent system in there teles?
Which don't come with backplates i know scott henderson has a SSC in one of his guitars that internal as it was put it after he got the guitar...

Can't install the backplate without the route in the back, so it won't work on this particular guitar. I wish it would work on this, it would be awesome! BTW, the BKP Sinner is a Strat pickup, not a Tele pickup like this guitar has.

Yeah, factory suhr teles can have the silent system installed....but it's done internally, not on a backplate. They don't retrofit it on any guitars, it has to be pre-installed during the build process on one of their own.

Ah, thanks for the clarification
I know tim does offer a overwound piledriver that someone on the bareknuckle forum refereed as the Sinner tele pickup but anyways the piledriver is plenty hot for 99% of genres.

No problem! Man, I couldn't even imagine an overwound Piledriver.....that would be crazy!

I think P-90s are one of the heaviest sounding pickups out there. Just tracked a hard rock band that has a few songs bordering on modern metal, and there were P-90 tones all over the production. There's just something tight, snarly and super aggressive about them.

I agree 100%!

I've found that the new Seymour Duncan YJM Fury SC ( bridge ) is pretty thick and tight sounding for heavy rhythm's. Also, if you can find them, Duncan made a SC noiseless called the Classic Stack. I think Doug Aldrich used them years ago,and he's a bridge humbucker guy.

Rumor is that Doug's classic stacks were a tad hotter than the off the shelf c stacks.

Noise is part of the sc game, while playing it does not bother me.

Kirk Hammet played a Strat with 3 single coils into an ADA MP-1 through a Mesa power amp in the early days. Would Master of Puppets be heavy enough of a sound for what you're looking for?

A lot of Metallica rhythms do not include Kirk; James likes to do it all to keep it tight
Strat single coil heavy? No....killer tones, but "heavy" is not what comes to mind

Check out Rio Grande Muy Grande Singles......always been heavy enough for me in my Strat.

John Norum used singles on a lot of his recordings as well! I have a Tele build with a DiMarzio Area Hot T in the bridge...great, great pickup. It's advertized as a PAF eq and output in a tele package, with single coil attack, and I believe they hit the mark on that one! In my strat I have Kinman AvN Blues, and they are great; Vlad has a strat of mine that has DiMarzio Area 61s which he says are awesome. Really, plenty of great sounding noiseless options out there. Come to think, Steve Lukather uses EMG SLV single coils, also worth a look (not for the Telemaster obviously unless you wanted a strat neck pickup).

That is what I have in my tele, keeps it pretty faithful but nasty.

Which is a thicker sound the Kinman Blues or the Area 61 s?

How quiet is the YJM Fury ? Hows the output ? Thinking about getting the whole pick guard setup for my strat . The stock p/u's in a 2003 mexi strat I just aquired arent too terrible but way noisy .

They are about equal. Kinman's seem to have a more aggressive sound and 61's are more compressed. Both great PU's . I actually like the Old 54' Alnico v Dimarzio Virtual Vintage on the bridge the most. Not that hot, and has a nice punch to it with warm mids.

I worked a little harder at dialing in the rig to a single coil and that solved a lot. The Luxxtone sounds friggin' amazing through the Hiwatt/SLO. I am really digging the new digs.

I like single coils but for me they just don't have the guts and low end punch for higher gain heavy tones.

Although, I really like the heavy growl that the rhythm guitarist (Stratocaster guitar) gets when he plays those staccato power chords during the interlude, 1:23-1:33. It's not really gainy but sounds really gutsy.
