How long do you give Reverb buyers to pay before busting their balls?

Guy on reverb sent me an offer on a piece of gear I was selling and I accepted it 24hrs ago [13:00hrs yesterday]. Hasn't paid yet nor replied to my initial message. How much patients do you guys exercise with these types of buyers. At this point I am getting the feeling I need to cancel the order as I may not want to deal with this guy or whatever problem customer bullshit he might stir.

Don't the offers include language that you're committing to buy if offer is accepted? Reverb probably has a rule on this. I had a buyer disappear on me after I accepted his offer. Reverb reversed it when I alerted them a few days later.

Reverb nukes an order for non-payment after 72hrs.

I wait 24 hours to contact the buyer on non-payment. Usually something non-confrontational like: “Thanks for your purchase! This is all packed up and ready to go once I receive payment.”

At the very least, it will usually facilitate a conversation either speeding up the payment or with the buyer telling me to cancel the order.

At the very least, do this^

It may come as a surprise to some, but work and family "emergencies" can sidetrack someone and they may have forgotten they ordered something, it's always something, right?.

(About 15 years ago, I came home drunk and ordered an iPod at 2am. I was awoken at 10am the next day by UPS with my iPod. Not a dream, really happened. We do dumb stuff when we drink.)

Very elegant way of saying move your ass and pay for the fucken item already. Thanks.

I say 3 days for payment. But it’s all about contact. I sold things. Guy reached out said ‘hey man I’m buying this for sure. Don’t get paid till Friday. Money will be in your account by the weekend. ‘

to me that’s totally cool.

Communication is key... but, sometimes life happens

Yes. It’s the total going ghost. That’s what is irritating.
I give 3-4 days. But I say if money is sent I wanna sell it. I take the cash

I’ve had offers accepted during the day when I’m at work and unavailable to pay so that’s pretty ridiculous
I get it.
Literally everytime I've given them time..crickets.
Especially if they don't reach out to inform you of when the money is coming.
You do want this..right?
Too many scambo's.
