Hey dudes,

I've recently acquired Ed's, Paige's, loudgtr's   SLOvenger. I want to bias her up with a multimeter. I've only biased a Plexi before and am curious where the bias points are in this amp. Is it a certain pin on the power tube sockets?

Cheers

Joe

Hey Joe,

You could try emailing Bill Sundt at tech@soldano.com they're usually good to get back to you quickly. Or just give them a call at (206) 781-4636 Bill usually answers unless he's on lunch.
Cool Guys to talk to; I've actually spoken to Mike a few times. Nice dude.

Glad the amp got to you safe. Enjoy the SLOvenger!

Cheers,
Brian

I put brand new tubes in it a just a few months back... According to Soldano, you don't have to re-bias their amps as long as you're installing the same tubes (which I did)...

I thought Soldano amps, like Mesa Boggie amps, had a fixed bias. In other words you don't bias them.

isnt there a bias pot inside the chassis? just get a bias probe and use your multimeter

Not sure if you guys know.....but Mike built that for me originally... :D

Haha, wow this amp has certainly been around. What a whore.

Paige, would any 6L6GC tubes work in this?

I have the multimeter already...would I really need the bias probe? I used to bias my plexi on the power tube terminals/pins/whatever.

I just want to know so down the line I can bias her up when needed. Also to see if the bias has drifted since it shipped to me.
